PSP SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING CHANNELS
Official Accounts
NOTE: The above accounts are the only official PSP Kingston social media channels. Sections are not permitted to create their own social media accounts and employees cannot use their personal social media accounts as the origin of work-related social media initiatives (e.g. the creation of a Facebook group should be under PSP Kingston Facebook page and not an employee’s Facebook profile). Any questions about this can be directed to [email protected].

Feedback on Social Media
The Corporate Services team has been receiving some great feedback during this time. While we strive to incorporate as much feedback as we can, we must also consider possible long-term sustainability with the resources we have once we resume normal operations.
A note about the manner in which video is uploaded: We currently are uploading all video to YouTube and pointing Facebook and Instagram to the YouTube channel. While we understand that there may be other, and in some instances, more optimal ways of uploading to the individual social media platforms, our current priorities are:
Employee Engagement
Employees are encouraged to follow the PSP Kingston Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube links as well as participate and share our content.
Posting to Social Media
Posting to social media is primarily done by the Corporate Services Marketing team.
If a section wishes to have access to commenting on posts or for the duration of a social media campaign, requests are to be directed to [email protected] for review and approval.
If an individual has approval to comment on a post on behalf of PSP Kingston, this individual must add his or her initials to the post following a dash (“-”).
Example: Question from client: Is the pool open?
Answer from PSP Kingston: The pool is closed until further notice. -FC
This is applicable to all social media including Facebook events and groups.
Official languages
All posts should be in both English and French. If this is not possible, the post should indicate at the end “Désolé en anglais seulement”. If the French translation is pending, “French to follow” should be included.

While we understand that there may be other, and in some instances, more optimal ways of uploading to the individual social media platforms, our current priorities are:
- 1. Ensuring that all our clients have access to the videos without requiring a login. Not everyone has Facebook, not everyone has Instagram, but all can access YouTube.
- 2. Ensuring quick turnaround. One issue with separate uploads is the creation of extra and time-consuming steps that are not feasible when considering the current task load.
- 3. Ensuring a balance of content without over-saturation.
