Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+)
Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA+) is an analytical process used to assess how diverse groups of women, men and non-binary people may experience policies, programs and initiatives. The "plus" in GBA+ acknowledges that GBA+ goes beyond biological (sex) and socio-cultural (gender) differences. We all have multiple identity factors that intersect to make us who we are; GBA+ also considers many other identity factors, like race, ethnicity, religion, age, and mental or physical disability. All Employees including Managers and Supervisors hired after May 1 2015 The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a Canada-wide system designed to give employers and workers information about hazardous materials used in the workplace. With the latest changes, WHMIS is in a period of transition between two hazard communication regimes: WHMIS 1988 and WHMIS 2015. This course familiarizes participants with WHMIS 1988 and WHMIS 2015. Therefore, it includes the elements of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Participants will learn about the WHMIS symbols and their meaning, the labels on products, and material safety data sheets (MSDSs/SDSs). The course has a test at the end of the module and requires 75% for successful completion. Desired Learning Outcome: Knowledge to identify potential risks from chemicals.
